Job Summary:
The Senior Software Developer will provide tier 3 support for the production of the JDX application. They will be responsible for creating functional and technical specifications for systems development, analyzing requirements, and assisting the project team in solution and technical design. The role involves developing interfaces between systems using IBM ACE software, XML, JSON, and web services, as well as completing all required documentation in alignment with standards. Location: Ontario, Canada., Responsibilities:
- Provide tier 3 support for the production of the JDX application.
- Create functional and technical specifications for systems development.
- Analyze requirements and help the project team in solution and technical design.
- Work with the project team in completing all relevant and required documentation in alignment with standards.
- Develop interfaces between systems utilizing IBM ACE software, XML, JSON, and web services.
- Support the testing team during system and UAT testing.
- Participate in Knowledge transfer.
- Undertake special assignments/sub-projects as assigned. Required Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in creating technical specifications for systems development.
- Software coding skills.
- Knowledge of IBM ACE.
- .Net framework proficiency.
- Experience with Web services, JSON, and XML. Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Proven track record of delivering solutions based on IBM platform.
- Experience with programming languages and common operating systems.
- Public Sector Experience Special Considerations:
- OPP L4 clearance required before starting (processing could take approximately 12 weeks).
- The position is provisionally "Hybrid", but subject to change based on the Hiring Manager's requirements. Scheduling:
- Working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks), Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified.
- Schedule subject to change at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
