This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Women's Services - Martha House
How You Will Make an Impact
The successful candidate will extend our mission to residential and non-residential clients through the provision of respectful and appropriate housing support services. This may include case management, crisis intervention and supportive counseling. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding values-based environment.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
- Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of issues impacting cis women, trans and non-binary individuals including violence, abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty and substance use
- Experience working in a residential setting is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Intake and Assessment
- A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity is essential
- A complete post-secondary education is required
- C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified)
- A valid Ontario driver's license (G2) is also an asset
- The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule
- Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset

- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety practices and understanding of an employee's responsibility under current legislation
